Perforated spout 7 mm

The 7 mm perforated nozzle is the classic choice for macaron shells, classic meringue dots and uniform decorating circles. The round opening creates a smooth profile without structure, which can look very different depending on the dimensions and technique. The 7 mm size is the standard size for macarons with a diameter of around 4 cm. The nozzle has proved particularly successful for macaron shells, meringue dots, even decorative dots on cakes, small sponge cakes and cream puffs. Suitable mixtures are buttercream, whipped cream, ganache, royal icing, fondant icing and macaroon mixture. The mould is also ideal for filling cream puffs, éclairs or Berliners. Cut the tip of the disposable piping bag so that the nozzle fits snugly and the opening is just clear. It is more convenient to use a nozzle adapter, where the inner and outer parts hold the nozzle in place. The adapter allows you to change the spout quickly, even if the bag is already filled with filling. To prevent the filling from running back, twist the bag in slightly directly behind the spout and press it into the opening. Fold the upper part over and place the piping bag in a holder or measuring cup, then fill in the mixture easily. The mixture determines the result. Use buttercream at room temperature; it should be creamy but firm. Whipped cream must not be whipped too firm, otherwise it will butter when piped. Royal icing must have the right consistency: thick for lines and thinner for surfaces. For round dots, hold the nozzle vertically and apply pressure briefly, then release and remove without applying pressure. For lettering with royal icing, guide the nozzle just above the surface and let the mixture fall down like a thread. Lines are particularly even if you do not push the bag back in, but allow the icing to flow. Cleaning is straightforward if it is done immediately. Hot water dissolves most pastes immediately, while a conical spout brush that reaches into the tight corners inside helps with stubborn residues. The stainless steel can be put in the dishwasher.
