These sturdy, fat-repellent discs made of food-safe cardboard are a practical aid when making and decorating cakes. What are they suitable for? As an invisible base, they make it easier to lift with a spatula, reposition, spread and add sprinkles, brittle or chocolate flakes to the edges. How is it used? Insert a slice that is about 2 cm smaller than the cake ring and cake, lift the cake slightly with the spatula and place it securely on your hand. One side is coated white and greaseproof, the reverse side is made of normal, food-safe cardboard. The thickness is approx. 0.8 mm; this variant therefore offers good stability. This contains 10 pieces with a diameter of 24 cm; the slices are intended for single use and can be cut to the desired size if required. You can work more efficiently with cake slices and minimize the risk of cracks in the sponge or cream.
