Rinse the mold with lukewarm water and mild detergent (without lye/shine rinse), rinse, dry very well and polish with non-fraying absorbent cotton or a fine handkerchief. Then do not touch directly and only hold at the edge; the mold should be at room temperature. Only use tempered chocolate coating: first melt, then cool, then reheat to processing temperature. For colored effects, heat cocoa butter colors gently (max. 40 °C), melt them in the microwave in short intervals and sprinkle or brush the mold with them. After 5-10 minutes drying, a second coat of paint can follow; clean off excess paint with the metal horn. Moulds made of polycarbonate are particularly transparent, dimensionally stable and make moulding easier thanks to their fine gloss and good shrinkage properties - silicone is less suitable for this.
