What is the difference between a cake ring, a baking frame and a springform pan?
A cake ring is a round metal ring without a base. A baking frame is usually square or rectangular, also without a base, and often adjustable. A springform pan, by contrast, has a fixed base and a clip closure. Rings and frames are placed on a board, baking paper or a baking mat.
What are perforated tart rings for?
The perforations let steam escape while baking, so the dough cooks more evenly and turns crisper. You will find all tart rings under Tart ring.
Adjustable or fixed cake ring – which one suits me?
An adjustable cake ring replaces several sizes and allows tall cakes up to 20 cm. Fixed rings are ideal if you always bake the same size or want several rings from one series. Diameter and height are listed on each product page.
