This modern ring forms airy, even sponge cakes and cake bases and is versatile in the oven, fridge and freezer. What is it suitable for? Fill it with sponge cake batter, but not too high, as the batter will rise during baking. As there is no integrated base, the sponge cake bakes evenly. Leave to cool after baking; if the base is not to be used until the next day, cover it with a second tray so that it retains its moisture. Carefully loosen the edge with a knife and cut even slices with a cake cutter or a cake saw. How is it used? After cleaning in the dishwasher or by hand, fit the ring with a cake insert strip.
