Whether in the oven, fridge or freezer, this oval cake ring accompanies you from baking to effortless unmolding. What is it suitable for? The cake ring is placed on a flat baking tray lined with baking paper, then you fill it with a sponge cake, taking care not to fill it too high. After baking, leave the sponge to cool, remove it from the edge with a knife and cut even layers with a cake cutter if necessary. How is it used for layering? Fit the cleaned ring with a cake insert strip, layer the bases and fillings and do not use the final cake plate at first; a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller) on a slightly larger base makes it easier to transfer. Viscous ingredients such as caramel or cake jelly will also keep their shape, as the ring prevents them from running out. The finished cake can be chilled with the cake ring; once it is firm, the ring can be easily removed and replaced immediately thanks to the insert strips.
