This square cake ring makes baking and layering particularly precise - in the oven, fridge and freezer. What is it suitable for? For elegant cakes, airy sponge cakes and firm fillings; the ring prevents leakage, even with caramel or cake jelly. The square cake ring is placed on a flat baking tray lined with baking paper. Fill it with sponge cake batter, but not too high, as the batter will rise during baking. As there is no base, the heat reaches the dough optimally; the result is particularly even on a perforated tray. Leave the sponge cake to cool completely; for use the next day, cover it with a second tray so that it does not lose its moisture. Loosen the edges with a knife and cut the base into even slices using a cake cutter or slicing saw How is it used for filling? After cleaning, attach a cake insert strip, insert a slice of sponge cake and layer the bases and fillings. Do not use the final cake plate for this: a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller than the cake) on a slightly larger cake base helps with lifting. Then chill or freeze the cake. Once it is firm, the cake ring can be easily removed thanks to the insert strips and cleaned in the dishwasher.
