Thanks to its bottomless design, the cake ring drop distributes the heat perfectly; bases bake particularly evenly on a flat tray lined with baking paper or on a perforated tray. How is it used? Place the ring on the tray, fill it with sponge dough (not too high, as the dough will rise) and bake the base. Leave it to cool thoroughly, loosen it with a knife and cut it into slices with a cake cutter or cake saw if necessary. What is it suitable for? For layering cakes with creamy and viscous fillings such as caramel or cake jelly, as the ring prevents leakage. Use a cake insert strip for clean edges.
