This sturdy base provides a reliable foundation for assembling, presenting and transporting cakes - from birthdays to weddings. What is it suitable for? For both light and heavy, multi-tiered cakes that need to be moved safely and presented in style. How is it used? Choose the right size and leave approx. 2 cm free all round; this makes it easy to carry the cake and the edge can be used for decorations. Place a small dab of buttercream, ganache or jam in the middle before placing the cake so that the cake base does not slide on the aluminum surface. The cake plate is made of food-safe cardboard and is covered with tear-resistant, high-quality aluminum foil; thanks to the foil, the surface does not soak and the cake stays fresh for a long time. The plate is embossed with a light pattern and can be covered with fondant if required: Roll out the fondant 2-3 mm thin with a little baker's starch, lay it on top, smooth it with the fondant smoother, cut the edge straight and press it down lightly. When stacking individual tiers, it is advisable to work with thin cake bases; 3-4 cake sticks per tier are sufficient for stabilization. You can also use the edge for decorating to elegantly conceal transitions. The cake plate is intended for single use and should not be reused.
