This sturdy, round cake base made of food-safe cardboard with tear-resistant aluminum foil provides an elegant base for cakes and cupcakes. With a diameter of 30 cm in a pearl-white look and subtle heart embossing, it is suitable for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings and also supports heavy, multi-tiered creations safely. What is the plate suitable for? For assembly, presentation and transportation - a 2 cm rim helps to carry it safely and provides space for decorations. As a guide: For a 26 cm cake, choose a 30 cm plate. How is it used? Put a small dab of buttercream, ganache or jam in the middle so that the base adheres easily to the aluminum surface and does not slip. If required, the Ø 30 cm can be covered with 2-3 mm thinly rolled out fondant (with baker's starch) and smoothed with a fondant smoother; trim the edges cleanly and press down lightly. Use the edges to elegantly conceal transitions - for example with buttercream flowers, a cake ribbon or fondant figures. For multi-tiered cakes, we recommend using 3-4 cake sticks per tier as a support. Thanks to the foiled surface, nothing softens and your cake stays fresh for a long time; however, the base is not intended for reuse.
