This sturdy, silver embossed cake base provides a reliable base for single and multi-tiered creations. What is it suitable for? For safe carrying, transportation and presentation. The aluminum foil is tear-resistant and the food-safe cardboard layer retains its shape so that the surface does not soak and your cake looks good for a long time. The cake plate is ideal if you want to leave a small border all around for decorations. Tip on size: Leave approx. 2 cm of edge free on each side; for a cake with a diameter of 26 cm, a plate diameter of 30 cm is recommended. How is it used? Spread a little buttercream, ganache or jam in the center of the plate so that the base adheres easily. Place the bottom tier in the middle, carefully pull out the auxiliary base and stabilize multi-tier cakes with 3 to 4 cake pins per tier. You can use the visible edge of the plate for decoration, for example with buttercream, a cake ribbon or decorative elements. For a harmonious overall look, the plate can be covered with the same fondant if required: Roll out the fondant 2-3 mm thin with baker's thickness, place on top, smooth with the fondant smoother and cut cleanly at the edge. Practical workflow: First layer the cake on thin bases, chill them and only then place them on the final base. The cake base is intended for single use and should not be reused.
