Use this versatile silicone mat to create intricate lace motifs for cakes and cupcakes: city silhouettes and grass edges, a kissing couple or a marriage proposal, children reading, bicycles, lanterns and birds individually or on a wire, plus an expectant mother and a stork for birth occasions. The Silho Urban Life silicone decor mat offers numerous combinable designs for creative borders and overlays. What is it suitable for? For applying or sticking to fondant or chocolate; the borders hold securely with a little food glue. On royal icing, mirror glaze or even softer chocolate, light pressure is sufficient. Not suitable for very moist surfaces such as whipped cream. How is it used? Apply a suitable lace decorating paste (e.g. Cake Lace) and smooth with a metal horn or angled spatula, leaving no gaps. Bake the mat for 15 minutes at 80-100 °C, loosen the edges and add another 3-5 minutes if necessary. After drying, the decoration can be removed completely, remains soft and pliable for a long time and can be made a few days in advance. It can be stored for up to two months in airtight packaging.
