This sturdy base provides the perfect foundation for the safe transportation and elegant presentation of cakes and multi-tier cakes. What is the plate suitable for? For light to heavy tiered cakes where stability and a clean look are required. The cake plate is made of food-safe cardboard and is covered with a tear-resistant, high-quality aluminum foil. The embossed, pearl-white surface does not soften and goes well with any decoration. What is the best way to use the board? Allow for a 2 cm border all round so that you can hold the cake securely and decorate the border with flowers, buttercream or fondant as desired. Place the chilled cake in the middle of the final plate; a blob of buttercream, ganache or jam under the base will prevent it from slipping. For tiers, we recommend using 3-4 cake sticks per tier to support the cake. Would you like to match the base to the design? If necessary, cover the plate with the same fondant: roll out 2-3 mm thin with baker's thickness, smooth out and cut cleanly at the edge.
