This sturdy cake stand made of food-safe cardboard is covered with a tear-resistant, elegant aluminum foil and is suitable for carrying and presenting both light and heavy, multi-tiered cakes. What is it ideal for? For birthdays, anniversaries or weddings when a reliable, elegant base is required. The diameter of 40.5 cm offers plenty of space; it is recommended to leave a border of around 2 cm on each side - for a 26 cm cake, this corresponds to a plate of 30 cm. How is it used? Put a dollop of buttercream, ganache or jam in the middle to prevent the cake base from sliding on the aluminum surface, place the bottom tier in the middle and carefully pull out the auxiliary base; for several tiers, use 3-4 cake pins per tier. Thanks to the foil, the surface does not soak and keeps the cake looking fresh for a long time; the decorative edge can also be covered and decorated with flowers, buttercream or fondant. For a perfect finish, you can cover the sheet with thinly rolled out fondant (approx. 2-3 mm, rolled out with baker's thickness) and smooth with a fondant smoother, trim the edges neatly and press down lightly.
