This round, extra-strong cake base with silver, tear-resistant aluminum foil provides reliable support for small and multi-tiered cakes. What is it suitable for? For safe transportation, stylish presentation and as a decorative base with a slightly embossed pattern to match any design. How is it used? Ideally, leave a gap of around 2 cm around the cake, secure the base with a dollop of buttercream, ganache or jam and use additional cake sticks for tiers. The cake plate is made of food-safe cardboard, does not soak through thanks to the foil surface and can be covered flat with 2-3 mm thinly rolled out fondant if desired. The edge is suitable for creating clean transitions or attaching a cake ribbon. Please note: The underlay cannot be rinsed and is intended for single use.
