This extra strong, round cake base made of food-safe cardboard with silver, tear-resistant aluminum foil offers reliable stability for cakes and tiered cakes. The cake plate features an embossed, subtly glossy surface that does not soak and elegantly presents your creations. What is it suitable for? For safely carrying and transporting light to heavy, even multi-tiered cakes. How is it used? Choose a plate that is approx. 2 cm larger all round than the cake (e.g. a 30 cm plate for a 26 cm cake) so that you have enough edge for carrying and decorating. If desired, cover the plate with thinly rolled out fondant (approx. 2-3 mm) and smooth with a fondant smoother; cut off the edge cleanly and press down lightly. Put some buttercream, ganache or jam in the middle so that the cake sticks securely and does not slip. The visible edge is suitable for decorating transitions with buttercream flowers, figures or a ribbon. Please note: The surface remains stable thanks to the foil, but the base is not reusable as the cake base cannot be cleaned. With the cake plate, you can present cakes in style and transport them reliably.
