Tuiles are wafer-thin, crisp decorations made from tuile batter. A silicone tuile mould gives you decorations of exactly the same shape every time: spread the batter into the cavities, scrape level, bake and release while still warm. Here you will find silicone tuile moulds with leaves, feathers, butterflies, hearts, mandalas, snowflakes, honeycomb and many other motifs, plus a ready-made tuile mix.

How to use a tuile mould

  • Spread a thin layer of tuile batter into the cavities with an angled palette knife and scrape off the excess.
  • Bake for a few minutes at around 160–180 °C until the edges start to colour.
  • Release while still warm: the tuiles can then be curved, for example over a rolling pin.

Finished tuiles decorate cakes, cupcakes, ice cream, mousses and plated desserts. More relief mats and silicone stencils are in Decorating mats & silicone stencils, moulds for mousses and entremets in Dessert silicone mould.

Frequently asked questions

Which batter goes into a tuile mould?

A classic tuile batter of butter, sugar, egg white and flour, or our plain or cocoa tuile mix. Spread it very thinly.

Can I use chocolate or isomalt?

The moulds are designed for tuile batter. Depending on the motif they also work for thin chocolate decorations or fruit purée with isomalt; the silicone is heat-resistant and food-safe.
